A Delegation of BJP MP’s lead By the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt Sushma Swaraj visited Singapore on the invitation of Institute of South Asian Studies, Singapore Between 13th Sept – 16^th Sept 2011. Ananth Kumar was part of this delegation.

This delegation had meetings with Singapore Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament of Singapore, Foreign Affairs Minister of Singapore, and Interaction with Indian Community.

Hon’ble Speaker of Loksabha  has appointed  Bangalore South  MP Shri Ananth Kumar as the Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs for the year 2011-12.

Shri Ananth Kumar had served as Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs for the year 2010-11.
