The Yatra began its day from tiruvananthapuram, the abode of the richest temple in the world, Ananthapadmanabhasway.
The reception and response in Kerala was overwhelming.
Advaniji admitted that the response extended to the Jan Chetna Yatra was bigger and better than those extended to any of his previous yatras.
Kerala has never been a traditional strong hold for the BJP. The unprecedented response to the yatra was an indication of the blowing winds of change.
Advanji addressed massive rallies at Kottarakara, Pandalam, Kottayam, Chertala and Cochin. Thousands of people braved the rain to listen to Advaniji.
Advaniji laid stress again on the unresponsive and non decisive government at Delhi. He reiterated his demand of a white paper on black money in the winter session of the Parliament.
Advaniji, right from the commencement of the yatra at Chhapra has been stressing on the importance of rural development and welfare of farmers. He also termed the present UPA Government as the most corrupt government since independence.
In all places that the yatra moved, it could be seen conspicuously that it resonated people’s frustration with the present government and also the eager wait for change!
The Yatra is moving into Bangalore tomorrow.
