A delegation of Malaysian Members of Parliament led by Mr.Manogaran of the Lower House of Malaysian Parliament and Mr. Senator Ramakrishnan of the Upper House of the Malaysian Parliament were hosted by Shri Ananth Kumar on the 28th November, 2011 at his delhi residence 26, Tughlak Crescent, New Delhi along with distinguished guests.

Shri Manogaran and Shri Ramakrishnan briefed the gathering on the problems faced by the PIOs in Malaysia in respect of denial of equal opportunity in the electoral process, employment and property rights and the human rights violations faced by the PIOS in Malaysia in the recent past.

Shri Ananth Kumar said that all Indians have deep bonds and understanding with the PIOs of Malaysia and assured them that the BJP would raise their grievances in the  appropriate fora and assured them of all support. He said that the BJP had already raised these issues in the Indian Parliament also and had sought assurances from the Government of India that the matter would be take up at the highest levels.
