Dear Friend, Hearty greetings to you
I am writing to seek your support in the forthcoming Loksabha Elections from Bangalore South Constituency. You have blessed me and elected me four times continuously. Because of your unstinted support, Atalji, the Statesman Prime Minister of this country assigned me several important portfolios.
Though the name Bangalore-South remains same, as you are aware, the erstwhile constituency consisted of areas from Jayanagar to Yashwantpur. However, Now, majority of IT belt is also added - from Koramangala to Hosur Road to Bannerghatta Road to JP Nagar to Padmanabhanagar and beyond. Hence, I am excited to represent some of you for the first time and others for the 5th time.
During the last 4 terms, I have tried to be the voice of educated and mature citizens of Bangalore both inside Parliament and on the national & global platforms. Here is a gist of the works done -
- As a proud MP representing you all, - I have tried to be the voice of Bangalore & Karnataka in the parliament. I have pressed for expeditious implementation of various projects of Bangalore, I have initiated debates over general & Railway budget, Rising Prices of Essential Commodities, Non-payment of Salaries to the staff of ITI, etc.I have utilised the entire sum of over 20 Crores of MP Fund for the benefit of Bangalore. As you may be aware, Vijaya Karnataka has rated me as the No. 1 MP from Karnataka.I have supported tens of thousands of underprivileged school children thru midday meals, improved educational facilities and health insurance thru my NGO http://www.adamyachetana.org
- When I was Civil Aviation minister - Signed MOU for the Bengaluru international airport and parallelly ensured 360 degree connectivity at then operational HAL airport adding international terminals, aerobridges etc. I have turned around both Air India and Indian Airlines.
- During my tenure as Urban development minister - Got 700 KM of highways to Karnataka, signed MOU and got approval of planning commission for Bangalore Metro, record HUDCO funding for Bangalore infrastructure, established South India center of BMTPC in Bangalore. Built over 10,000 houses for slum dwellers of Bangalore under VAMBAY.
- As Sports & youth affairs minister - Initiated several programmes for nation-building. Vande Mataram program to usher in the new millennium was celebrated throughout the country. Over 500 young achievers were invited to parliament to create a new agenda for the new century.
- As tourism minister - drafted a national policy on tourism, 887 tourism projects amounting to Rs 230 Crores sanctioned, simplified the rules regarding the grant of approval to travel agents and tourist transport operators, Creation of cultural heritage programs and IT-based innovations for facilitation and information, IT kiosks, Computerized electronic guides during walk-throughs.
- As culture minister - Brought beautiful Hampi under UNESCO World Heritage sites, signing of cultural exchange programs with 76 countries, Digitization of major works of nine contemporary artists including Rabindranath Tagore, Nandlal Bose, Amrita Shergil, Nicholas Roerich etc. Established South India center of IGNCA in Bangalore
Thank you for giving me the privilege of showcasing Namma Bengaluru to the Global Community. Carrying forward the vision of Atalji, let Bangalore be the beacon for the citizens of India.
Today, unfortunately India is mired in a series of crises like crisis of internal security, economic crisis, agricultural crisis, cultural crisis and crisis of Governance. The only hope, the only solution, the only way forward is Shri LK Advani led NDA and BJP both for India and Bangalore.
We need to think…
Think NATION FIRST, Act NATION FIRST, Make NATION FIRST
http://www.nationfirst.in
Now, I would like to draw your kind attention towards my vision for Bangalore. With BJP government at the state and NDA at the center, based upon my experience as vice chairman of ABIDe task force for the last 9 months, I would like to turn around Bangalore in the next three years and make it a role model Metropolitan City in the entire country and give it, its legitimate place on the world map.
I am preparing a Bangalore Action Plan that will be structured on 5 points, namely -
- A Stand-alone Act for BBMP
- Citizen Centric Governance
- Urban-Poor Development Program
- Comprehensive Bangalore Development Plan (CBDP)
- Preserving our Heritage and Environment
I am inspired by the “Kempegowda Vision” for the development of the city. We at BJP want to offer “Quality life” to people from all walks of life and we are determined to make it a reality.
Thank you for sparing your valuable time. I welcome your suggestions in this regard. Please write to me at ananth@ananth.org.
I would send further details of my elaborate plan shortly.
Nation First, BJP is the Best;
VOTE BJP

Dear Mr Anantha Kumar,
We the people of Karnataka, esp Bengaluru South have voted you to power comprehensively. The simple fact that to connect with the voters of Bengaluru South, you need to have this blog in Kannada is also disregarded by you shows your apathy towards us.
How can I trust that voting you will enable the voices of Kannadigas be heard in the parliament?
Can you please also share the thoughts/manifesto of BJP for the ’sarvangeena’ development of Bengaluru South in particular as I can see that off late everything from a small road side board to a bus ticket seem to be going English that too in the heart of Kannada Land (Bengaluru south).
Regards,
Sampoorna
PS - You start the blog as Bengaluru but end up writing everywhere as Bangalore??

Namaskara,
It is nice to see a blogsite from a politician. Are you serious with your blog spot? Will you reply to general public questions? Will you resolve the issues asked by general public? What will be your prime agenda for this Bengaluru south constituency?
BJP has bad attitude towards local people. They haven’t done anything for Kannadigas, Karnataka & Kannada. As a national party you don’t worry about local people. Will you address their concerns once elected?
We want to know your reaction to above issues.
Yours
Voter

Dear Ananth Kumar,
Thanks for posting your reply to my questions of your contribution to Bangalore city. But unfortunately, we the citizens of Bangalore southdotn see any change for good during your tenure as MP. May be one of the reason being your party govt has just taken over the reins of the state. But none the less, i would be looking forward to your reply to 3 other points i raised which is critically important for a caste free, progressive vision citizens of south bangalore stand for.
Juat as a remined the issues i have raised are:
1. Your contributions to the constituency - theough not very satisfactory may can may be consider voting for you, but the other three issues are:
2. Doling out money to religious mutts, what good has this done and why should govt money be fritted away like this. Can you give us a detailed account of money that has been doled out like this and what has been the development work that these religious mutts have done so far. who is accountable for this money
3. The hindutva moral brigade has created a sense of fear - who gives VHP, Shri Rama sene the authority to moral police our society, who are these elements in BJP to say to us how we should lead our lives? Also could you explain why Hindutva is being re-defined by RSS to suit BJPs electoral gains.
Look forward for your reply.
Best regards
Ashwin

Srimaan Ananth,
I have been a supporter of BJP all along and have admired you. But now I am filled with despair due to the following points :
1. The Reddy brothers are allowed to do as they please. They are reportedly looting Karnataka’s natural wealth. They have bigger designs and we kannadigas and BJP are just mute spectators. It is Bellary for now and next in line are Raichur and Chitradurga !! Shame !!
2. The allegations of altering the border with Karnataka and including our land with Andhra by the Reddy brothers is such a disgusting thing reported with proof in several news papers - but you are silent. Do you care about Karnataka or not ?
3. Slowly the growing influence of Andhra oriented Telugu politicians is increasing in Karnataka. They are brash and openly support all things Telugu. You are silent.
4. It is reported that most contracts in government is going to Andhra due to the blessing of the Reddy brothers and you continue to be silent. Doesn’t it strike you ? Does it not hurt you ?
5. You preside over meetings organized to get Telugu people at one place and share the dias with Venkaiah Naidu who addressed the gathering in Telugu and was stopped by a protest from karave activists. Silence again.
6. The Anegundi bridge in heritage Hampi collapsed and the contractor responsible from Hyderabad was not exactly taken to task. The Reddy brothers have a Knack of pushing things under the carpet. You know about this - don’t you ?
7. The looting of Karnataka resources will continue to happen by people of Andhra origin with a govenment like BJP which seems like it itself is patronizing Andhra.
8. Telugu and Kannadiga people have had a harmonious relationship and we never really differentiated especially with a lot of luminaries who have done yeomen service to Kannada being Telugu speaking. But the recent developments after BJP came to power in state have created a doubt in the mind of Kannadigas. There is an influx from across the border and gobbling up of prime properties.
9. So many Telugu movie posters and theaters showing telugu movies in Bengaluru - But show me one Kannada movie in Hyderabad ? Why Kannadigas living in Hyderabad are deprived ? Why this misplaced generosity from Kannadigas which has given us nothing except exploitation by others ? Don’t we have self respect ? Please answer what you will do about this.
11. Please do not respond to this with a statement like “India is one and we should care for India first”. Kannadigas know this better than anybody else and need no lessons on how to be hospitable or how to behave when living outside state. What do you say Ananthji ?
10. Save Karnataka from Andhra…..my humble request, kalakaliya manavi….to you Anant avare !!
That is all for now…Thanks to you anyways for allowing me to pour out my sentiments in this regard through your blog………..Manohar

Dear Mr Anantha
Firstly it is great to hear that you have a plan for 2012, you are talking about the development for bangalore and creating jobs in IT etc.
I see that the education system in our country are really bad, excepcially in bangalore,
were kannada has been forced into our childrens head. I been a citizen of Karnatak. you except children to learn kannada language in science and social studies till 5th standard. have you ever realised how difficult it would be for children when they come to 6th standard and start english from scratch. you know that our children will not be able to cope up to the standard of other children in our country or abroad.
Kannada should be striclty studied as one language.
How will you globalize our state and bring investment and growth.
Awaiting your reply.
can you please send me a reply on this : to bkoshy@aldar.com.
