The second day at Karnataka proved as exciting as the first.
Advaniji and Ananthkumarji flew down to the Bajpe airport from Bangalore. A rousing welcome was extended by the karyakartas who formed an impromptu cavalcade of motorbikes to accompany Advaniji to the sabha ground.
Advaniji was thrilled when he saw the massive gathering assembled to hear him. He said that he was short of words to express his delight at the reception he was getting to the yatra at all places of Karnataka. He reminded the audience on how special Karnataka was to him as this was the only state where he stayed for a long period of 19 months when he was jailed in the Bangalore central prison. He administered the Jan Chetna oath to the audience.
Ananthkumarji’s speech was the pick of the day as it received the maximum applause from the audience. He stressed on the importance of providing a clean government in Karnataka and expressed hope and confidence that the new CM would live upto the high expectations of the people.
The rath moved into the temple city of Udupi. According to Advaniji, the rally at Udupi was the largest that he had ever witnessed in the temple city. He recollected the growth of the party in the district, which over a period of 40 years had grown from strength to strength.
Advaniji’s speech in Hindi was translated by Ananthkumarji, ensuring that the message originally given by Advaniji will not be diluted.
After taking the blessings of Sri Krishna, the convoy proceeded towards Murudeshwar. Bolstering response was given by the people of Kundapur, Bhatkal and Murdeshwar.
The day closed at Murdeshwar.

The Yatra began its day from tiruvananthapuram, the abode of the richest temple in the world, Ananthapadmanabhasway.
The reception and response in Kerala was overwhelming.
Advaniji admitted that the response extended to the Jan Chetna Yatra was bigger and better than those extended to any of his previous yatras.
Kerala has never been a traditional strong hold for the BJP. The unprecedented response to the yatra was an indication of the blowing winds of change.
Advanji addressed massive rallies at Kottarakara, Pandalam, Kottayam, Chertala and Cochin. Thousands of people braved the rain to listen to Advaniji.
Advaniji laid stress again on the unresponsive and non decisive government at Delhi. He reiterated his demand of a white paper on black money in the winter session of the Parliament.
Advaniji, right from the commencement of the yatra at Chhapra has been stressing on the importance of rural development and welfare of farmers. He also termed the present UPA Government  as the most corrupt government since independence.
In all places that the yatra moved, it could be seen conspicuously that it resonated people’s frustration with the present government and also the eager wait for change!
The Yatra is moving into Bangalore tomorrow.

Nagpur city, winter capital of the state of Maharashtra, the largest city in central India and third largest city in Maharashtra after Mumbai and Pune. With a population of 4,653,171 (2011), Nagpur UA is the 13th largest urban conglomeration in India,[4] In addition to being the seat of annual winter session of Maharashtra state assembly “Vidhan Sabha”, Nagpur is also a major commercial and political center of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, and is also famous throughout the country as “Orange City” for being a major trade center of oranges that are cultivated in the region. In addition, the city also derives political importance from being the headquarters for Rashtreeya Swayamasevak Sangh (RSS) and an important location for the Dalit Buddhist movement.
Nagpur lies precisely at the center of the country with the Zero Mile Marker indicating the geographical center of India.[6] The city was founded by the Gonds but later became part of the Maratha Empire under the Bhonsles. The British East India Company took over Nagpur in the 19th century and made it the capital of the Central Provinces and Berar. After the first reorganization of states, the city lost its capital status but according to the informal “Nagpur Pact” between political leaders it was made the second capital of Maharashtra.
The day saw yatra moving from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh to Nagpur in Maharashtra. All along the yatra route, the scene was familiar. Large crowds thronged the yatra path in places like Chandangaon, Linga and Umra nala to welcome the yatra.
At one Jan sabha, Advani ji said that the Jan chetna yatra is for ‘National Awareness’. He also recalled NDA’s good governance initiatives and welfare schemes for farmers and rural poor. He complimented the state government under Sri Shivraj Singh ji for following the similar path and bringing smile to people’s faces.
The yatra crossed MP border near Parad singa where an estimated 3-4 thousand people gave it a warm send-off.
Yatra entered Maharashtra near Kelwad and was welcomed very warmly by the party President Sri Nitin Gadkari, Sri Venkaiah Naidu and Sri Gopinath Munde among other leader.
On way to Nagpur, yatra had successful stopovers at Saonar, Koradi etc. When the yatra entered Nagpur, the whole atmosphere lit up. It was electrifying atmosphere all over Nagpur. People in saffron head gear with BJP flags could be seen everywhere.
BJYM youth on motor cycles once again added zing in large number.
The Sabha at Chitnis Park was a well-attended one. Advani ji once again drove home the point about bringing back the black money to India and to curb the menace of corruption once & for all.
The day ended on a winning note with BJP & allies winning three bye-polls and India winning one-day international in New Delhi ! Didn’t someone say – When BJP wins, India wins !

The enthusiastic response to yatra continued unabated today with crowds thronging yatra route from Hoshangabad to Bhopal. Welcome reception was held at many places. Obadullaganj & Mandi deep saw large turnout.
Addressing the people at Obadullaganj, Advani ji questioned the central government, asking it “for whose interest it was working ? Was it the interest of the nation or in Individual interest ? ”
Last night, speaking at Hoshangabad, Advani ji alleged that Congress-led UPA government was neck deep in corruption. In earlier public rallies, he also opined that the day was not far when the government would have to call its cabinet meeting in Tihar Jail !
He also alleged that the Centre was not doing anything on the issue of corruption and black money and was also responsible for the high inflation in the country.
The yatra is reaching Bhopal by afternoon where a huge crowd is waiting to welcome the yatra and listen to Advani ji. A number of prominent leaders are expected to attend the Jan sabha there.

The day 04 ended with a massive public rally in Jabalpur. The response so far has clearly established that the yatra is gaining momentum and is striking a chord with people everywhere it goes.  Its energizing the party cadres and general public alike. The huge rush of women supporters has been noticeable nearly everywhere. The way people are queuing up all along the yatra route is overwhelming.
Yatra is also leaving an imprint on the ground with its ‘campaign against corruption’.  Advani ji’s call to bring in a change in the system is getting echoed in public reactions.  His assertion that “If brought back, the illicit money stashed away in foreign banks could be enough funds to provide electricity, roads, water and all basic infrastructures in all these villages” is drawing maximum applause from people.
What is also clearly visible is that people have lost confidence and faith in present UPA government and its performance has become a matter of concern for them. The  government’s failure in weeding out corruption, in checking inflation and price rise together with it’s nonchalance about the black money stashed abroad, is causing concern everywhere.
At Jabalpur, Advani ji promised people that Bharatiya Janata Party, with its able leadership and committed workers, will check the menace of corruption, bring back the black money stashed abroad and will resolve to make a ‘new’ India.
