The Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers Shri Ananth Kumar stated that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to create cleaner India announced by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is much simpler to achieve than it may appear. In the message sent to all officials & staff of the ministry and public sector undertakings under the ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, he said that it needs their willingness to dedicate 100 hours a year including two hours of voluntary labour every week. He urged them to take a simple vow of keeping the environment clean and of being the change in inspiring others to join this sacred mission. The minister said that each one of them should inspire 100 others to similarly dedicate time, even as each one of them would themselves do to make the dream of a Swachh Bharat a reality.
