On the evening of Saturday 22nd February 2014 Shri Narendra Modi addressed Nav Chetna Rally in Agartala, Tripura. In the beginning of his speech Shri Modi compared the Third Front with flamingos that arrive in Gujarat before winter and vanish after the season ends. Shri Modi spoke of the need for a strong Government at the Center which can bring real development to the country.

He went on to say that the nation has been governed by all types of parties and alliances and if experts analyze different models like dynasty model, Janata model or Vajpayee-led NDA model, they will agree that the governance model of Vajpayeeji was the best. Similarly, the work of the BJP and NDA governments in the states has been completely development oriented, because NDA is not just an alliance or front, it means National Development Agency that is committed to development.

Modi ji wondered why despite political stability is there so much poverty in Tripura and absence of economic development? He also attacked CPI(M) for not giving the poor residents BPL card unless they work for the party first. Modi ji requested the people of Tripura to give him two lotuses (two Lok Sabha seats in the State) assuring Laxmi will sit on it.
