Metro News/ Hyderabad: Ananth Kumar, Chemicals and Fertilizers minister who formally inaugurated International Plastics Exhibition – IPLEX 2014 in Hyderabad on Friday said plastic industry is one of the oldest in the combined states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. “We know that nearly 8,000 plastic units are located in and around Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahboobnagar. And combined turnover of these units is put at Rs 2,500 crore.

Government of India is planning to set up Plastic Parks in four cities across India. “In addition to those four cities, Telangana deserves a Plastic Park. And I will pursue with the Planning Commission of India to set up a Plastic Park in Telangana,” informed Ananth Kumar.
We will also invest in common facility, provide design assistance, we will co-partner with the State he said.
